MeasuReIT is the result of the collaboration of expert physiotherapists, coordinated by the steering group of the Italian Society of Physiotherapy. Launched in December 2020, from 2022 MeasuReIT is available to all SIF members (login required). It is not a simple list of tools, but it represents a useful resource both for those who have little specific knowledge and for the community of rehabilitation researchers. MeasuReIT lists the measurement instruments validated in Italian, mainly used by physiotherapists. From a multidisciplinary perspective, tools used by other professional figures or regarding areas or pathologies not strictly attributable to the rehabilitation activity, but connected to it, are also included. In the current version there are more than 400 instruments validated, from 2010 onwards. For each of them it is possible to consult a summary sheet composed of bibliographic information regarding the calculation and interpretation of the scores, and other general notes useful for both the choice and use of the instrument. Furthermore, each cross-cultural validation study was evaluated through the checklist on the criteria of good psychometric properties proposed by COSMIN. It is useful to remember that the information reported in the sheets refers exclusively to validation studies in Italian, which may therefore not fully represent the quality of the general psychometric properties of the instruments themselves.
MeasuReIT can be queried both through free words and using the appropriate filters, even in mixed mode. For many of the instruments surveyed it is also possible to request - for personal or research use - the PDF of the Italian version, as published. The 'Request pdf' button will generate a pre-filled email to the email address: scalemisura@sif-fisioterapia.it
